The traineeship
What does the traineeship look like?
In short: Supply Talent offers you the possibility to develop yourself during two years to become a procurement manager or a specialist. You take on various roles within three different organisations. About 10% of your time is available for your personal development. The assignments you execute are at different levels (strategic, tactical or operational). These assignments are usually done in teams.
Which job titles fit the assignments I’m doing?
During the traineeship you take on different roles within different organisations. Think about functions like: Junior purchaser, Assistant purchaser, Strategic purchaser, Business analyst, Quality controller, Junior consultant, Assistant project manager, Assistant supply chain manager.
Can I choose trainings that I find necessary for my development?
Next to the compulsory programme there is a budget for ‘self learning’. Within this budget the trainees can organise educational or social events that support the learning goals from the group of trainees.
Can I attend conferences at cost of the client?
Of course. Whenever the possibility is there you can acquire your own assignments in consultation with Supply Talent. If this leads to a new assignment there might even be a bonus.
Taking initiative is stimulated by Supply Talent. We offer lots of possibilities to develop your own initiatives. Of course, they do need to be approved by Supply Talent first.
All our clients have a professional procurement organisation and have a mentor available who guides the trainee within the company. The size, location and products of the client differ.
Which jobs can I execute after finishing the traineeship?
After the traineeship you are able to start working as a procurement manager, procurement specialist or supply chain consultant.

Recently graduated with a bachelor or master degree. Preferably in the field of (technical) business administration, economics, logistics or supply chain management;

Have an interesting CV with extracurricular activities;

Fluent Dutch and English in both speech and writing;

Maximum of two years working experience;

Open to work on different locations.
I don’t have a bachelor or master degree, can I apply?
No, we only work with bachelor and master degree graduates.
I already work as a purchaser, can I apply?
The traineeship focuses on recent bachelor and master graduates with less than two years working experience. If you fit this profile youare welcome to apply.
How can I prepare myself for the job interview?
Decide for yourself what you want to reach and think about what kind of person you are and what you have to offer. Next to that it is important to take care that youare well uitgerust? and feel relaxed. Think about a few questions about yourself and try to answer these as good as possible.
An extensive instruction comes with the test. The better you read this, the more reliable the result is. Next to that it is important that you fill out these tests in a quiet place (it is not in our and your interest to look different than you are).

The working hours at Supply Talent are flexible. You can discuss them with your client. The opinion of your executive is binding.
Next to my work, can I do extra-curricular activities?
Only after permission of Supply Talent and if these have to do with the field you are working in.
Do I have to move?
Supply Talent does not require you to move. However, you do have to be available to work on different locations within the Netherlands.
Are all my travel expenses covered?
Travel expenses are covered on basis of 2nd class commuter travel, travel with your own car is covered till 30 kilometres.
Can I change my free days for payment?
No, only if your contract ends or if Supply Talent gives permission.
Do I have the possibility to choose my own assignment?
If we have multiple assignments available we can discuss this together with the client. In this case we decide on basis of the content of the assignment, the location of the client and the personality of the trainee.
